Renovation of a Family Home and Annexe in Churt

This substantial renovation project in Churt involved the complete transformation of both the main house and annexe, creating a home that is better suited to family living while retaining its character and charm.

Within the main house, we removed internal walls and completely reconfigured the first floor layout, creating improved flow throughout the property and making better use of the available space.

As part of the external works, two existing bay windows were stripped back to remove the deteriorating render. Additional insulation was added to improve thermal performance before the bays were reboarded using modern fire-resistant materials, re-rendered and redecorated to match the newly installed windows.

The renovation also included the creation of three new bathrooms, each fully tiled and fitted with brass fixtures and fittings.

The project also included the conversion of an existing garage into a spacious games room, providing valuable additional living space without increasing the footprint of the property. New windows, doors and finishes ensured the room felt fully integrated with the rest of the home.

Alongside the work to the main house, the annexe underwent a complete refurbishment. The accommodation was updated throughout to create bright, practical and comfortable living spaces.

Outside, new entertaining areas were created with elevated decking and balustrading provide attractive outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
