One-Bedroom Annexe Construction in West Sussex

This project on the fringe of West Sussex involved the construction of a self-contained annexe, designed to provide comfortable accommodation within the grounds of the main property.

Built as a fully functioning one bedroom bungalow, the annexe includes an open-plan living area, fitted kitchen, spacious double bedroom and bathroom.

A key feature of the build was the installation of underfloor heating throughout the entire property. The system provides efficient, even heat across every room while removing the need for wall-mounted radiators. The heating manifold has been cleverly concealed within the bathroom cabinetry, ensuring easy access while maintaining a clean and uncluttered finish.

Large aluminium-framed doors and windows, together with electric Velux roof windows, help flood the interior with daylight while providing simple remote-controlled ventilation.

The exterior combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, featuring timber cladding, a slate roof and glazing that allows the building to sit comfortably within its rural West Sussex setting.
